Why Artist Should Choose Their Cover Art...

Because you can have a photoshopped mess like this...
Alicia Keys is NOT my favorite artist, but I can admit she has a nice pen game...I like some of her songs, but she just don't do it for me for the most part...but her covers have always made sense. This one right here...I get where she was going, but the curled lip, and awkward head turn makes it hard to take it seriously...and let's not get started with that headpiece!!!!

Same can be said for Mary Mary's "The Sound" album cover.
This has to be one of the worst covers for one of THE BEST albums of the new millennium.
Erica looks caught off guard, and Tina looks like she just got done saying "Girl". There is nothing about this cover that says, "Under here is a masterpiece", which is sad because it was one of the best Gospel, forget that...Albums of last year, and should have did more than what it did.

An artists cover art should be JUST as appealing as one's music, because, believe it or not, people do judge a book (or album) by it's cover. Which is why I believe a lot of artists get overlooked.

forget the curled lip and the head turn, do you not see the bedazzled helmet?? i think the lip and the awkward head are a result of that hideous head-piece!
